We investigate the genomic epidemiology of Streptococcus pneumoniae in Indonesia by analyzing serotype distribution, antimicrobial resistance patterns, virulence factors, and population structure across clinical and carriage isolates. Through whole-genome sequencing and bioinformatic approaches, our research aims to understand pneumococcal diversity, monitor the impact of vaccination, and identify genetic determinants associated with pathogenicity and resistance. This work supports national surveillance efforts and contributes to the development of effective prevention and treatment strategies against pneumococcal disease in Indonesia.
